The event and conference venue, Millennium Point, has seen an increase in event inquiries, demonstrating a return of confidence for in-person events.
Since reopening its 17 event spaces in July, Millennium Point has reported a 26% increase in inquiries each month for corporate events taking place in 2021 and 2022, with overall inquiries increasing 96% between April 2021 and July 2021.
Millennium Point recently invested over £ 350,000 to modernize its 354-seat auditorium to support delivery of hybrid events. The space now offers flexibility, audio and visual capabilities, enhanced support facilities, and high-quality live streaming for wider reach.
The site also launched a new website and reservation system that aims to improve the guest experience, including detailed floor plans, a smart search function, and interactive features.
Rebecca Delmore, Commercial Director at Millennium Point, said: “We are delighted to see the increase in event booking requests over the past six months. We believe this demonstrates a real appetite for face-to-face events and a strong commitment to resuming business in the region. The increase in inquiries came as a result of a significant investment in Millennium Point facilities, particularly in our auditorium, events and meeting spaces.
“We have a really exciting calendar of events coming up and we can’t wait to kick off the holiday season with the return of our popular Christmas Party Packages. And in early 2022, we’re excited to unveil a brand new facility at Millennium Point that will create an incredible experience and talking point for on-site events. “
Delmore added: “We were very pleased to see the requests from a much larger and more diverse audience looking for flexible and hybrid event spaces. The increase and diversity that we have seen in booking requests is a very promising start and shows that the appetite for events has been rekindled after a long hiatus.
