FEI’s Corporate Financial Reporting Insights (CFRI) 2022 conference will focus on how companies are adapting their business models to align with societal priorities

Hybrid event to showcase expertise from the US SEC, FASB, PCAOB and other regulatory and corporate finance professionals

MORRISTOWN, NJ, October 12, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Financial Executives International (FEI), the association of choice for finance executives, today announced that it will hold its annual Corporate Financial Reporting Insights (CFRI) conference on November 7 and 8. The hybrid event will be hosted in person at the Sheraton New York Times Square and available virtually. This year’s theme, Leading Beyond the Numbers, aims to help finance professionals gain the knowledge needed to help their organizations reframe their societal roles. Linda Zukauckas, Nielsen’s CFO, joins CFRI as this year’s keynote speaker and will discuss how her leadership style encompasses innovation, wellness, sustainability, diversity, and more. Attendees will also learn updates on the United States SEC agenda during a fireside chat with the United States SEC Acting Chief Accountant, Office of the Chief Accountant, Paul Munterand Jeff KarbowskiCAD of PayPal Holdings.

Hearings of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (US SEC), Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB)

Members of leading financial and regulatory watchdog organizations will join panels to discuss the latest developments in rulemaking and standards.

  • US SEC: Assistant Chief Accountants of the Office of the Chief Accountant, Diana Stoltzfus and Kevin Vaughn, will share their thoughts and views on recent developments in the United States SEC, including issues facing the preparer community and the accounting profession. Chief Accountant Lindsay McCord and Deputy Chief Accountants of the Corporate Finance Division, Sarah Lowe and Melissa Rocha, will discuss key trends, regulatory efforts, and current and future priorities to facilitate the disclosure of material information. They will provide relevant recommendations on new or existing rules, interpretation advice and monitoring of public company filings.

  • FASB: Chairman of the FASB Rich Jones and technical director Hillary Salo will discuss current FASB technical program priorities, focusing specifically on the evolution of key standards and what the FASB is doing to adapt to changes in the current environment. Investor insights will be provided by David GonzalesVP Senior Accounting Analyst at Moody’s, and the panel will be moderated by Holly GrennanSenior Director, Global Technical Accounting & Policy at Nike.

  • PCAOB: Participants can join PCAOB Board Members Duane Desparte and Christina Ho for a round table moderated by Brian CroteauPartner at PwC, to discuss Board priorities as well as current developments in the areas of standard setting, inspections and enforcement.
